AHRDA

AHRDA Program
The AHRDA (Aboriginal Human Resources Development Agreement ) program was in question this past year whether the program would continue into next year, when all was said and done it was decided that the program would live to see another year.

The Native Women’s AHRDA program is under the umbrella of the Native Women’s of Canada.  We answer to NWAC and they answer to the Federal government.  NWAC administers approximately 10 AHRDA’s across Canada.  The sub-contract AHRDA holders are called PTMA’s.

We have had a good working relationship with NWAC, both organizations striving to make the program more efficient and making program delivery a lot less confusing.

With such a small administration budget the program cannot hire a full-time AHRDA Coordinator – the money is just not there.  Cindy Villeneuve the Finance Officer has taken over the duties of the AHRDA program until further notice.
