Projects

An ongoing project continues at the Native Women's Association and that is to attract both male and female students.  To date, we have had much success in recruiting students.  We have given students peer counseling and have developed a drug and alcohol group.  The group has commenced and is very successful.

Staff Training and Professional Developement

During this period a representative from Native Women's Association attended an AHRDA National Strategy Conference in Vancouver on May 24th to May 27th, 2004.  It was very informative for anyone who wished to start his or her own business.

General Operations and Program Manager

General operations include assisting walk-in clients with tasks related to letter/resume writing, computer operations, fax and telephone usage.  Record and maintain client files, help clients complete application forms, explore employment and educational opportunities and basic office duties.  The coordinator for AHRDA is available for the students and clients questions and needs.
